I know it's bad form to practice necromancy in forums, but I figured it was better than to create a new topic.

So, I just got the GotY and have started downloading - only around 150MB in 13,004 files, so it didn't take long at all to get into Ascalon (even on 256kbit cable - 30KB/s for a sustained average). I *will* be -image'ing overnight over the next few days, of course, as well as actually playing during the day, so it won't be *too* bad.

And it's running great on my Sempron 2800+ @ 1.6GHz, 128/256MB GeForce 6200TC (not integrated), and 1GB RAM which leaves around 600MB free once the system's up and counting the 128MB the video card'll steal. Well, not *great* - if it were actually great, I'd be able to run at 1024x768 and with all the details turned up and antialiasing on.

But it still looks good and plays well at 800x600 with medium details...
